"Light in Motion" series
Statement
I have long been interested in how photographic images are formed and how they relate to representation. This interest has led me to reflect on the medium of photography itself and to experiment with its possibilities, constructing images of my surroundings that move beyond direct depiction.
In this series, through interventions made before and during the act of photographing, the intensity of light is increased so that the image gradually departs from a representational state. What we see begins to dissolve into light. Rather than simply revealing space and objects, light alters them – erasing certain parts, distorting others, and reorganizing elements within a new visual structure.
In the first part of the series, the moving body encounters this intensified field of light, arriving at a condition between motion and stillness. In the second part, the photographs enter into a dialogue with painting, where color and light transform objects into surfaces and color relations that suggest a different visual reality.
