"Dancing on ashes" series
Statement
This project explores the relationships between the body, space, and lived experience through photographs of my friends in various moments, addressing the representation of life and its flow.
The core inquiry focuses on how life and its continuity can be visualized via the language of the image. Photography is used not as a tool for documentation, but as a conceptual, practice-based language that enables reflection on living, the ways of surviving, movement, and relationality. The body is approached as an active agent in producing meaning, defined by its interactions with other bodies, space, and nature.
Bodies in these images appear in unfamiliar and occasionally unconventional positions, creating a space between reality and abstraction. The non-linear arrangement of photographs allows each image to function independently while collectively forming a dynamic network of relationships.
In this project, I have aimed to explore how meaning emerges via image, relation, movement, and presence within an artistic practice. This exploration seeks to invite reflection on questions of visibility, connection, and the fragile continuity of everyday life.
